Terms of service

 

What IS included on Trip's Beer Trips while participating – Traveler(s) in the group during the designated Trip Itinerary. Once we all meet at the designated time/date and the rendezvous location:

  1. Group ground transportation
  2. Group food and Beer beverages
  3. Group lodging while on designated trip
  4. Group entrance/participant fees (NOTE: Some optional events fees not included)

    What IS NOT included on Trip's Beer Trips and therefore is the sole responsibility of the Traveler(s):

    1. All their air transportation to and from the event.  In cases of delay arriving at the beginning of the Trip's Beer Trips, Traveler(s) are responsible for any ground transportation and other expenses needed to rejoin the group. In cases of delays in departing after the conclusion of the Trip's Beer Trips, Traveler(s) are responsible for all transportation and other expenses needed to return home. All transportation and other costs incurred if the Traveler(s) leaves trip for any reason.
    2. Proof of vaccination or other necessary Covid documents for travel. Trip's Beer Trips does not check.
    3. Neither Trip's Beer Trips nor its employees/associates are not responsible for any costs of disrupted travel for any reason.
    4. Travel Insurance (See below)
      1. Airfare charges/fees due to changes for any reason in travelers schedule to or from the start or end of trip
      2. Any medical needs or any hospital needed due to injury or sickness occurring during the trip.
      3. Any extra accommodations and transportation and other expenses incurred outside of the Trip's Beer Trips set Itinerary
    5. Double check your Credit Cards for their specific Travel benefits and coverages
    6. Neither Trip's Beer Trips nor its employees/associates are not responsible for any costs of disrupted travel due to Covid or Covid Rules that may affect the traveler. This includes but not limited to:
      1. Medical assistance and costs
      2. Hospitalization and recuperation
      3. Medicines
      4. Accommodations, food, and drinks
      5. Ground and air transportation
      6. Any loss of personal items any time before, during, or after the trip
      7. Any other expenses incurred because of travelers’ not completing the scheduled Trip's Beer Trips

      TRAVEL INSURANCE INFORMATION

      1. Travelers should consider 3rd Party Travelers Insurance.
      2. If you must leave the trip for any reason, I strongly recommended you secure independent Travel Insurance.
      3. Check with your credit card provider to see if they offer travel insurance.

      Expected Behavior Policy - At Trip's Beer Trips Events

      Trip’s Beer Trips is committed to providing an environment that is safe and welcoming to all. We all deserve to work and meet in an environment where we are treated with dignity and respect. All members and event attendees will treat each other appropriately, Trip’s Beer Trips will not tolerate discrimination or harassment in any form.

      Therefore, all participants and event attendees including sponsors, vendors, and guests will comply with the following:

      • Treat all individuals respectfully, recognizing their human dignity, celebrating their diverse human characteristics, race, ethnicity, economic status, color, religion, national origin, age, gender identity, gender presentation, sexual orientation, body size, citizenship, marital status, apparent or hidden disability, or veteran status.
      • Contribute to a positive, supportive environment that is free of intimidation, exploitation, shaming, bullying, hostility, alienation, or harassment of any kind.
      • Speak out when the actions of others violate the rights of any individual.
      • Respect the opinions of others and address conflicts in a positive and constructive manner.

      Please note, if you register a guest for an event, you are responsible for the actions of the guest. Violations of this policy should be reported to Trip’s Beer Trips staff or through the anonymous reporting system. Trip’s Beer Trips reserves the right to remove any individual from attendance or participation in any Trip’s Beer Trips sponsored event without prior warning or refund, and to take additional action as determined necessary.

      Participants and guests are responsible for protecting attendees and the organization by taking steps to assure that all attendees follow all laws in the process of purchase, sharing, or consumption of alcoholic beverages. If any attendee consumes alcohol beyond the point of being able to function safely, appropriately, or legally, Trip’s Beer Trips event organizers and their representatives may take any action they deem appropriate to keep those persons from breaking any laws and from harming themselves or others.

      What to do if you witness or are subject to unacceptable behavior:

      If you are subjected to unacceptable behavior, notice that someone else is being subjected to unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please notify an event/conference organizer. All reports will remain completely confidential.

      Event Staff will be available to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement, to provide escorts, or to otherwise assist those experiencing unacceptable behavior to feel safe for the duration of the conference.

      Scope:

      We expect all Trip’s Beer Trips participants (staff, sponsors, volunteers, speakers, attendees, and other guests) to abide by this event behavior policy at all Trip’s Beer Trips venues and Trip’s Beer Trips related social events.

      The success of Trip’s Beer Trips is dependent on the respect, trust, and confidence we share and receive from our members. We gain credibility by adhering to our values and commitments, displaying honesty and integrity, and reaching our goals through respectful conduct at all Trip’s Beer Trips events and experiences.

      Respect Individual Differences

      Trip’s Beer Trips is committed to providing an environment that is welcoming to all. We all deserve to meet in an environment where we are treated with dignity and respect. All participants and event attendees will treat each other appropriately and recognize the contributions and supportive efforts of all at any Trip’s Beer Trips event. During our Trip’s Beer Trips interactions, we will not tolerate discrimination or harassment in any form.

      Therefore, all participants and event attendees agree to comply with the following during official Trip’s Beer Trips meetings and events:

      • Treat all individuals respectfully, recognizing their human dignity, celebrating their diverse human characteristics: race, ethnicity, economic status, religion, national origin, age, gender identity, gender presentation, sexual orientation, size, citizenship, marital status, apparent or hidden disability, or veteran status.
      • Contribute to a positive, supportive environment that is free of intimidation, exploitation, shaming, bullying, hostility, alienation, or harassment of any kind.
      • Speak out when the actions of others violate the rights of any individual.
      • Respect the opinions of others and address conflicts in a positive and constructive manner.
      • Respect others’ privacy in their personal lives.
      • Refrain from the use of offensive language, gestures, touching, or the display or distribution of offensive pictures, memes, or other communications.

      Alcohol Responsibility

      Members representing Trip’s Beer Trips as official representatives and those attending Trip’s Beer Trips -associated events are responsible for protecting the safety of members and the organization by taking steps to assure that all members, including themselves, follow all laws in the process of purchase, sharing, or consumption of alcoholic beverages in association with Trip’s Beer Trips sponsored events. Furthermore, should members or associates consume more than a reasonable amount of alcohol, and either are or appear to be incapable of functioning, both legally or appropriately, Trip’s Beer Trips members will take every legal action to keep those persons from breaking any laws and from harming themselves or others.

      Sexual Harassment Policy

      Trip’s Beer Trips policy specifically prohibits sexual harassment by or against any member, officer, volunteer, vendor, staff, or event attendee. The policy covers sexual harassment complaints that fall within the scope of Trip’s Beer Trips activities, such as but not limited to, day-to-day operations, local meetings, educational programs, Collaboration Brew events, etc. Trip’s Beer Trips believes that mutually respectful, pleasant, non-coercive interactions between individuals will best serve the well-being of each individual, as well as that of the Trip’s Beer Trips participants. Sexual harassment of anyone will not be tolerated. Sexual harassment is defined as any unwelcome advances, or other verbal or physical conduct which has the effect of interfering with an individual's involvement or participation, or creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment. Physical or verbal advances, remarks, jokes, teasing, or posting of sexually explicit pictures are a few examples. If you believe that you have been sexually harassed at a Trip’s Beer Trips event, or have witnessed any type of sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior at a Trip’s Beer Trips event you should:

      • Advise the person causing the sexual harassment that such behavior is inappropriate and that you would like it to stop.
      • If you prefer not to discuss the matter with that person, or that person fails to respect your request, you should promptly report such sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior through our reporting system.

      Upon receiving such a report, Trip’s Beer Trips will investigate the complaint and attempt to resolve it, giving careful consideration to protecting the dignity of all people involved to the extent that circumstances will permit. No adverse or retaliatory action whatever will be taken against an individual for filing a sexual harassment complaint with Trip’s Beer Trips. Trip’s Beer Trips will also address directly with whomever launched the complaint to ensure they are aware of what actions were taken.

      Any event attendee, host, or member found to have engaged in sexual harassment at a Trip’s Beer Trips event will be subject to suspension from future Trip’s Beer Trips events. Any vendor or customer found to have engaged in sexual harassment shall temporarily or permanently be suspended from doing business with Trip’s Beer Trips. If the behavior occurs at a Trip’s Beer Trips event or an associated activity, the individual will be asked to leave the event without any refund of registration fees or travel expenses.

      Accountability

      Each Trip’s Beer Trips participant is responsible for knowing and adhering to the values and standards set forth in this Code, and for raising questions if they are uncertain about any policy. If any participant is concerned that the standards are not being met or are aware of violations of the Code, they must contact Trip’s Beer Trips Leadership. Participant who violates the Code of Conduct or Sexual Harassment Policy will be asked to leave an event or associated activity without a refund of any paid fees or travel expenses.
